Name of the medicinal product: ZARPEN

Content: 1 ml cutaneous solution contains approximately 15,8 mg diclofenac sodium.

Pharmaceutical Form: Cutaneous Solution. The cutaneous solution is a clear liquid, colorless to pink or orange.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Topical products for joint and muscular pain

Packaging Description: ZARPEN is packaged in white plastic bottles of nominal capacity 60 ml and sealed with a white plastic dropper and screw cap.

ZARPEN contains the active substance diclofenac sodium, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). Diclofenac Sodium cut.sol is used to relieve the acute pain and swelling affecting small or medium-sized joints and surrounding tissues.
If the answer to any of the following questions is 'YES' please tell your doctor or pharmacist BEFORE applying:
  • Have you ever had an allergic reaction to Diclofenac sodium or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen?
  • Have you ever had a reaction (skin rash, breathing problems to dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)?
  • Are you taking anticoagulant drugs (such as heparin and warfarin)?
  • Are you taking any other medicine?
  • Do you have kidney or liver problems?
ZARPEN is not recommended for use in children.
Driving and ZARPEN:
In the unlikely case, you’ll fell a headache, dizziness, light-headed or confusion after using ZARPEN do not drive or use any machinery.
How to take it:
If your doctor has told you precisely HOW MUCH and HOW OFTEN to apply the solution, then follow his advise.
The area in which the treatment will be applied should be washed with soap and water and dry before applying ZARPEN. The amount you’ll use depends on the size of the joint treated. Put 20 to 40 drops, four times a day or what the doctor recommended. Do not go beyond maximum dose, which is 40 drops, four times a day, per joint.
Use a few drops from the solution each time and spread them evenly on the treated area with your hand or fingers. It’s not necessary to rub the solution. After applying, wash your hands.

DO NOT use the solution on bandages or any clothing.
DO NOT apply the solution on infected skin or open wounds.
No other medicine should be applied topically at the same time with ZARPEN.
Some skin reactions may appear, such as dry skin, itchiness or rash.
In some case, you may have bad breath.
Other undesirable effects can be indigestion, wind, diarrhea
Photosensitivity reactions have been reported after diclofenac topical application.
ZARPEN contains dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), which can cause drowsiness and headache and can cause skin irritation.
If any reaction appears on your skin or any other symptom, advise your doctor or your pharmacist.
In the rare case your face a breathing difficulty, stop therapy and ask immediately for medical help.

Keep safe out of the reach and site of children, preferred in a locked storage.
Do not keep in temperature above 25οC. Do not freeze.
ZARPEN should be a clear liquid, colorless to pink or orange. If your medicine change to any other color, return it to your pharmacist.
ZARPEN should not be used for more than 12 weeks after first opening.
